Terms of Sale
Prices, delivery, terms and discounts are subject to change without notice. All terms are FOB our warehouse in Westlake Village, CA.
PRICES: Written proposals or quotes are firm for no more than 30 days, unless otherwise provided in writing. Possession of any California Landscape Lighting price list is not in itself an offer to sell. California Landscape Lighting reserves the right to select our customers and reject any order.
SHIPPING CHARGES: All stock orders under $750.00 have just a $10.00 UPS/FedEx ground shipping charge within the continental United States. Orders over that amount are shipped FREE by UPS or Fed Ex ground within the continental United States. All air shipments including any shipments to Hawaii and Alaska will be charged exact charges. There may also be additional charges for any special shipping method requests. Special order and non-stock items have separate shipping charges based on the exact shipping cost incurred. This will be explained at the time of the order placement. We reserve the right to determine method of shipment.
SPECIAL ORDERS: Special order items are ordered from the manufacturer only after receipt of your pre-payment (if required). Special order or non-stock items may not be cancelled, changed or returned once the product has been ordered.
SALES OUTSIDE USA: All shipments to foreign countries must be paid in American dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. All customs fees and/or brokerage charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.
RETURNED CHECKS: Any check issued to California Landscape Lighting and returned from the bank for any reason will have an additional charge of $25.00 invoiced to the customer and must be paid prior to subsequent shipments.
OTHER: In no event shall California Landscape Lighting be liable for the contingent, incidental, or consequential damages due to the products use.
PAYMENT: California Landscape Lighting provides several different terms of payment for our customers. All terms apply to business customers only. Make all checks payable to California Landscape Lighting.
- CASH: Cash Sales.
- PIA: Paid in Advance. Some orders may require full payment in advance. Depending on the order these payments may be made in cash, cashier check, credit card, or by company check. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express as payment for all orders.
- COD: Cash on Delivery. This payment option is available only on will-call transactions and with check approval. All UPS or Fed Ex shipments must be prepaid or shipped on approved credit.
- ACCOUNTS: Open Account. Our terms are Net 30 Days. Invoices not paid by the due date will be assessed a late payment charge at a rate of 1-1/2% (18% annual) or the maximum allowed by law. All late charges must be paid to retain an open account. All open accounts with an invoice sixty (60) days past due will automatically be placed on "Credit Hold" until the account is current. A credit card cannot be accepted for payment of invoices purchased on an open account.
RETURN POLICY: Our return policy is simple. We want purchasing from CLL as easy and worry free as possible. Stock or ON DEMAND items purchased from California Landscape Lighting can always be returned for Full Credit within 30 days, used or new, no questions asked. This is our NO ULSER POLICY. Between 30-90 days you can still return stock or ON DEMAND products, but a few conditions will apply. All products must be new and in the original box and are subject to a manufacturers restocking charge. This is our NO HASSLE RETURN POLICY. Any product identified as QUICK SHIP, MADE TO ORDER, special order, non-stock, custom made, modified, and replacement parts cannot be returned for any reason.
WARRANTY/DEFECTIVE ITEMS: If you find yourself with any type of defective product, contact our office. We work closely with our manufacturers to offer the best customer service in the industry. Often we are able to do an "over-the-counter" exchange for the defective item. Prior to returning any product, contact our office for a RGA number.
