12 Volt LED Rope Lights

We've just found a fantastic source for LED rope lights that will work with the standard 12-volt transformer. What's great about these new LED lights is that they can be field modified with "cut points" every 4.5 inches. This new product will be perfect for lining under the lip of wall caps or cantilevered steps. There's even special extrusions available for easy mounting. Contact our office for more details and pricing.

Improved Egg on the Face Program

In the September 2008 issue of the Lite Tips Newsletter we announced that the "egg on our Face" program was being continued into it's 15th year. This is a customer service program that we started years ago to promote our commitment to stocking the products we sell. If we backorder any identified stock product you receive a wooden chip. We don't know of any other distributor in the industry who has a program like this or who puts this much emphasis on customer service. Collect five of these chips and they can be redeemed. This month we are announcing that that program is being totally revised. Beginning November 1st when you collect five of the Egg on our Face chips you can redeem them for a $100 dollar store credit. Use that credit to purchase whatever you wish or apply the credit to any outstanding balance you may have on your account. In the past the five chips were redeemable for only a California Series Junior T-250 Transformer' now you decide what you want the chips to apply to.

New Motion Detector

Advanced Bridging Technologies has just introduced a wireless motion detector that works in conjunction with their wireless zone control system. All new ABT receivers have the capabilities of being activated by this "Motion Control" device. You can now add an additional level of security to your systems via a motion sensor.

There's no additional wiring required, the motion control can be placed up to 100 feet from the ABT master system and has a sensor range of up to 35 feet distance. Use more than one unit for greater coverage. The RF signal is not limited by line of sight and will pass directly through walls and floors without signal loss. The motion detector has been engineered with "pet immunity" for animals less than 55 lbs. Once the motion detector has identified movement the signal will activate all the landscape lighting system zones not currently on for a period of five minutes. The motion detector will continue to scan the area every 4 minutes and if additional movement is detected during that scan the on cycle is extended an additional 5 minutes. The motion detector can also be used as a system override for parties and other outdoor events by keeping the lighting system active as long as movement is detected. There's no maintenance required and each detector comes with a five-year built-in battery. ABT has also committed to upgrading at no charge any of their control units installed earlier to a version that will work with the new motion detector unit.
