Founded in 1963 by David McWilliams, California Landscape Lighting pioneered the concept of a specialized landscape lighting distributor. Starting with the only three manufacturers in the industry, Dave set up shop. One of the first three manufacturers was Nightscaping, a line we still distribute here at California Landscape Lighting.

Today after almost 45 years in business, California Landscape Lighting is one of the most respected landscape lighting distributors in the country; now distributing over 30 different product lines on a national and international basis. CLL was built on a philosophy of doing business the right way! Always treat your customers with respect and above all, honesty.

Since the 1990’s our business model has often been copied. This in itself is a compliment and a confirmation of our philosophy. Even so, it is difficult to duplicate such a unique company. By putting ethics first, the long journey from 1963 to today has been made possible and the future positive.
