FLASHES
New Prices effective 2/1/09

No new price increases have been announced by any of our manufacturers during the month.

Cable prices down

As the cost of both copper and the materials needed to produce the PVC cable jacket of low voltage cable drops, so does the finished product. Our contractor cost for all our low voltage cable has been lowered to reflect our reduced cost. You can now purchase 12/2 cable for fewer than 30 cents per foot, a price not seen in several years. Call today for a quote on the gauges you use most often.

Socket Life

Because landscape lighting is installed in perpetually damp locations, socket failure is a constant problem. Hadco Lighting offers a product designed to combat this problem. The MA4 is a corrosive preventative compound that is applied directly to the socket assembly. The grease like material prevents dirt and moisture from entering the electrical compartment of the socket and because it is non-conductive it can be applied to any lamp type or socket.

Why G.E. Lamps

The G.E. MR16 lamp is the preferred lamp of many landscape lighting contractors because of its “constant color”. Most MR16 lamps suffer some amount of color shift over the life of the lamp. This is not the case with the G.E. lamp; it maintains the original color temperature throughout its operating life.

ABT Still Available

In a reversal from the announcement made last month by the parent company of ABT Zone Controls that the line was being discontinued, we have now been informed that they will continue the manufacturing of ABT after all.

Hadco's I2.5

The newest addition to the Hadco Lighting fixture line is the I2.5 ingrade. This entire fixture was engineered to anticipate all of an installers needs. Offering a series of unique features, unlimited uses and easy maintenance, the I2.5 ingrade incorporates everything needed to remain leak free for its lifetime.

The design begins with its user friendly hinged lens ring that allows entrance into the fixture with ease. Below this gasket protected and sealed ring lies three separate fully sealed compartments that enable the I2.5 to be used in the harshest of environments with confidence. A single tool is all that's needed for aiming access on scheduled maintenance. Once inside the fixture you'll find that the aiming procedure is just as well thought out as the rest of the design. A single thumbscrew is all that needs to be used to adjust the tilt and to re-lock the optics positioning.

The I2.5 has walk over capabilities with the lens being able to withstand up to 3000 lbs. of live weight. This allows the designer or installer the flexibility to place the fixture in practically any location they desire. So the next time you are looking for a 120-volt ingrade fixture with the engineering at a high standard and the design to perform, check out the Hadco I2.5.
